The health and safety of all visitors remains our priority. Led by government guidance and supported by industry best practice, our team has undertaken comprehensive risk assessments to mitigate against the transmission of COVID-19. All team members have also completed thorough COVID-19 workplace training to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all.
ICC Belfast has been awarded the ‘We’re Good To Go’ mark, an industry standard demonstrating our commitment to implementing relevant government and public health guidance in relation to COVID-19.
We are committed to providing a COVID-Secure environment for everyone, but we’re relying on you to play your part too:
- If you are feeling unwell do not visit our venue
- Self-isolate and do not visit our venue if you have been identified as a close contact of someone with COVID-19 unless you are fully vaccinated, instead seek a PCR test on day 2 and day 8.
- Wash your hands regularly and practice good hand and oral hygiene
- Wear a face-covering (unless medically exempt)
- Follow social distancing guidelines and directional signage

It is mandatory to wear a face covering while inside our venue, this is in line with government guidance on wearing face coverings in indoor public places. You may remove your face covering when seated or while eating and drinking.
Social distancing and directional signage.
Social distancing measures are in place at ICC Belfast and visitors are asked to maintain social distancing when in communal areas.
Signage has been installed throughout providing wayfinding, reminders on social distancing, hand hygiene and general COVID-19 messaging. We ask that you follow instructions on signage and avoid removing or moving signage.
We encourage all visitors to download the StopCOVID NI app.
If someone displays COVID-19 symptoms whilst they are in the venue, they should contact a member of staff to assist us with the implementation of isolation and track and trace procedures.
To support the Contact Tracing Service (which is operated by the Public Health Agency in Northern Ireland) ICC Belfast is required to collect and keep a record of all staff, customers and visitors who come onto our premises for the purpose of contact tracing. This will be facilitated by scanning a QR code or completing a manual contact form on arrival at our venue.
Testing (not mandatory if an alternative method is used to demonstrate COVID Status)
Although testing is not mandatory, the government recommends anyone attending an event should test themselves no more than 24 hours in advance of attending an event, and on days 2 and 8 following the event.
Rapid COVID-19 tests can be obtained by anyone who requires them, free of charge. Rapid test packs can be ordered online for free delivery to your home. Order tests on the Gov.uk website.
Hand sanitising facilities have been provided at entry points and key locations throughout the venue.
Our cleaning partner Mitie are one of the UK’s leading cleaning service providers. Their highly trained team is at the heart of our COVID-Secure venue operations, providing an enhanced cleaning service to focus on high touch points with products that meet PHA guidance. We will also have adequate supplies of warm water and soap in our washroom facilities at all times.
We remind all visitors of the importance of washing your hands with soap and water when you can - this is the most effective way of cleaning your hands.
Our toilets will be cleaned regularly as part of our enhanced cleaning protocol, some bathrooms may have capacity limits and signage will be in place to provide direction.
ICC Belfast uses 100% fresh air, which is heated or cooled as required by the air handling units to a temperature calculated and controlled by the building management system. Using the principle of displacement ventilation, air is extracted at high levels and discharged from the building.
There is no recirculated air used within the ventilation systems. Fresh air will be supplied to all areas at a minimum rate of 10 litres per second, per person. Toilets will be provided with extract ventilation at the minimum rate of 10 air changes per hour.
Windows and doors will also be opened where possible to provide additional natural ventilation.
